Marvel comic hero Iron Man relies on the Audi R8

Soon-to-be-released Hollywood film – Iron Man – based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, will be the first major picture to feature the Audi R8 sports coupe in its cast. The new S5 also makes its film debut in his movie.

Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark – the main character in the film version of “Iron Man” from Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios. His superpowers are the result of the highly versatile and indestructible high-tech armor that he has developed.

Without his suit of armour the technically-brilliant billionaire relies on the powers of his Audi R8.

“The R8 is the perfect car for Tony Stark,” said Iron Man director Jon Favreau.

“It’s a technological masterpiece. Plus it’s fast, safe, and sure to be noticed.”

Leading lady, Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow (Virginia “Pepper” Potts) also drives an Audi in the film – this time, the new S5.
